This class combines the disciplines of qigong, yoga and meditation. Qigong is a moving meditation that is both relaxing and invigorating. Yoga helps alleviate stress and anxiety. Class ends with meditation to soothe your soul. Please bring a mat and water with you to class. Registration is open now. Sign up on the website, in person at the main branch (338 Main Street) or at the station branch or call (631) 421-5053 to register over the phone.

Qigong is a series of simple exercises designed to increase health and vitality. Much like tai chi, movements are slow, gentle and fluid, which helps reduce stress and anxiety. The class concentrates on the 18 Lohan Hands, an ancient Chinese form passed down from the Shaolin Temple. Please bring a mat and water with you to class. Registration begins on Tuesday, January 18 for residents. Non-residents are welcome to sign up beginning Wednesday, January 26th. Registration is being done IN PERSON ONLY at the library.
